Salesforce's Agentforce Hit $1.5B in Annualized Revenue, Up About 240%

Salesforce reported fiscal second-quarter revenue of $11.345 billion, up about 11% year over year, with net income of $4.844 billion, per the company. Agentforce reached roughly $1.5 billion in annualized recurring revenue, up about 240% year over year, with 3.2 billion agentic workflow actions in the quarter and the Slack bot passing one million active users. Management raised full-year guidance by $300 million in constant currency to a range of $46.1 billion to $46.4 billion. Shares rose more than 12% after hours, per CNBC.

The figure that matters beyond Salesforce is $1.5 billion of ARR attributed specifically to agent products. For two years the agent category has been demonstrated more than sold, and this is the first disclosure at scale that puts a hard recurring number against it from a company that has to defend the figure to auditors. The 3.2 billion actions, up 97% sequentially, is the usage underneath that revenue, which is the harder thing to manufacture.

The proportion keeps it honest. Agentforce is roughly 3% of a $46 billion revenue base, so agents are not yet carrying the company. Total revenue grew about 11%, which is respectable rather than reaccelerating, and the guidance raise splits into $100 million of organic strength and $200 million tied to the pending Contentful and Fin acquisitions. Half the raise is bought rather than earned, and that distinction got lost in most of the coverage.

The pattern this fits is the one we noted when OpenAI's enterprise revenue passed consumer and when legal AI startups repriced on ARR growth. Money is landing in the application layer, in software that does defined work inside a business process. Salesforce also announced Claudeforce with Anthropic, embedding customer data and workflows into Claude for sales teams, which points at where the competitive line now sits: whether the agent lives inside the system of record or reaches into it from a general assistant.

The first credible nine-figure-plus revenue number for enterprise AI agents, at about 3% of the company. Watch whether Agentforce keeps compounding once the easy install base is converted, because that is when it stops being an attach and starts being a business.
