The White House Wants Sign-Off on Who Gets Access to Frontier AI Models
A federal clearinghouse called Gold Eagle would require companies to get Washington's approval before bringing partners into a frontier-model launch, and asks developers for up to 30 days of pre-release access. It touches OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Microsoft.
