D-Robotics Raised $400M for Robot Chips, With State Money Alongside Mirae and Meituan

D-Robotics closed a $400 million Series C led by Mirae Asset, with Meituan, Hefei State-owned Capital Investment, Nanshan Zhixin Investment, and other government-backed institutions participating, per the company. The Chinese company builds compute for robots. It says cumulative shipments of its Sunrise chip series passed 8 million units, that first-half revenue grew several times year over year, and that its embodied AI business reached mass production.

The customer list is the underwriting case. D-Robotics says its Sunrise S600, launched in November 2025, has been adopted by more than 20 embodied AI customers, including UBTECH, Fourier, Astribot, and X Square Robot. That is the Chinese humanoid supply chain buying its brains from one domestic vendor. Note who sits on the cap table: a Korean asset manager leading, Meituan strategic, and two state-backed vehicles, which is the standard pre-listing shareholder mix for a Chinese hardware company heading to a domestic exchange.

Company-reported figures carry the usual caveat. No valuation was disclosed, revenue growth is given in multiples with no base, and shipments count units across a range of price points. The 8 million figure covers the whole Sunrise line, including automotive-grade parts, which makes it a poor proxy for humanoid volume.

A domestic chip vendor with 20-plus embodied AI customers is infrastructure for China's humanoid push, and the state money on the cap table says Beijing agrees. Watch for a disclosed valuation at the next round, since this one came without.
