An Attacker Ran Hundreds of AI Agents Against PaperCut and Breached 395 Organizations
GreyNoise says a likely Russian-speaking actor used agents built on OpenAI's Codex and a DeepSeek model to exploit two PaperCut flaws starting August 31, compromising at least 440 instances at 395 organizations in 48 countries. PaperCut shipped emergency patches August 28.
