OpenAI's $30 Billion Round Comes at $1.25 Trillion, Below the $1.4 Trillion It Pitched

OpenAI is close to raising up to $30 billion at a $1.25 trillion pre-money valuation, led by Coatue and UAE investors, CNBC reported. Bloomberg reported a $1.4 trillion target a month earlier. The round would still be a large markup on the $852 billion OpenAI was valued at in March.

Anthropic's draft prospectus, as reported by The Wall Street Journal, shows $16.3 billion of first-half revenue, up from $1.1 billion, and an $80.7 billion net loss, about $72 billion of it a non-cash charge on convertible notes.
